As Abraham heard from God, it immediately had to make him uncomfortable, uneasy, and unsteady, and we can only imagine what Sarah thought! Abraham was faced with the reality of giving up what was most precious to Him, the thing He loved and adored above all else, and HE was willing to do it. He laid Isaac down upon that altar and surrendered Him to the Lord. We desperately need to do this if we are to be successful in this troubling time.

In the OT there was a morning and evening burnt sacrifice offered in perpetual fashion before the Lord, to atone in a general way for the sins of Israel. They had to deal daily with their sins or not be in fellowship with God. We must also, though Christ has came we still need to be continual offering up our praises, prayers, and purposeful living before the Lord.

A challenge to the West Milton Baptist Church, and for all the Lord's Churches also. Our country is dead and under the judgment of God, as HE actively works against it. The question for us, is, are we going to go down with her. Our future is not tied to this country, we needs not perish with her. We need to stand up and be counted for the Lord and rally in this day we are called to serve the Lord in.

We face certain enemies in the fight for truth and against he tyranny of the times. These enemies will give it their best to keep us from being successful in that fight!

Seeking for Jesus is an admirable activity, one that we all must engage in. However, to be successful in this effort we need to know where to find Jesus today. They knew to look in Capernaum to find Christ, but where do we look? Christ should be found in our Churches, in our Homes, and in our Lives. People should be able to find Him in these places today! The question is can they?

As Christ delivers a Sermon about Himself being, "That Bread come down from heaven" those listening find it to be a hard saying. Doctrine is often like that and people murmur against it. After their murmuring they choose to abandon following Christ, for something else. Christ then asks His church "Will Ye also go Away?" We need to be answering this question today with the same fervor and zeal as Peter.
