After the glories experienced by Peter, James, and John they had to leave the mountain and begin the trek down.  On the down side of the mountain there were obstacles that they did not face at the top, there were difficulties to overcome, and battles to fight.  This is our life, we struggle to get up the mountain of discipleship to be with Christ and then we must return to real life, as we do each Monday morning.

Ethos: The representative characteristics, beliefs, and aspirations of a people, culture, or society.  The definition of being a Christian Disciple has been stolen from us today.  We need to get a hold on what it means to be Christ's, to be His follower, because as far as Christ is concerned it means something to be called His disciple!  Join us to find out what that is!

Green Berets, Navy Seals, Army Rangers and Delta Force, Marine Force Recon, and the Night Stalkers, are all Special force units within the US armed Forces, they go anywhere and give everything for the good of our nation.  We may never be Navy Seals, but we can strive to be Navy Seal Christian's, the best trained, most equipped and greatest committed to the fight for Christ!

After laying down our Isaacs we are not to walk around empty handed, no, we are to take up our cross daily and follow the Lord.  Christ gives His definition of what it means to be a disciple of Him, He lays down the lay and gives the ethos for what it truly means to follow Christ.

Christ asked His disciples, those closest in the world to Him, to tell Him who He was.  Christ was not suffering from an identity crisis, instead He desired that they would look deep within and see who they really thought that He was!  The question before us today is still the same!
